Proposal at Sassafrass Springs Vineyards || Springdale, AR

When Tyler reached out about capturing his proposal to his now fiancé he wanted it to be intimate, surprising, fun, and really good pictures to remember the moment! I cannot tell you how excited I was when he said he had booked time at Sassafrass Springs Vineyard to make this happen. This is a local gem to northwest Arkansas that provides delicious wine, yummy pizza, beautiful scenery, tours, and other event spaces. It is every photographers dream to shoot here! Let me show you why.

Tyler had planned a tour of the vineyard to end with a wine flight, champagne, and he knew that was when he would drop to one knee to ask Jordan to marry him. The staff worked hard to make sure that this moment was exactly what he wanted! They were unbelievably helpful and accommodating to this super special moment and it added so much joy to the entire process.

After she said yes, heard how all the plans he had made fell into place, switched rings around, and loved on Tyler we started taking pictures of this special moment. We started off at the chapel ruins! These photograph beautifully, but Jordan and Tyler’s joy was obviously the main character. They both said, “We need help with posing!” But it became clear that capturing their story meant joking, guiding them for moments that created genuine smiles, and I worked in and out while they enjoyed their time together.

As the session moved on we walked around the vineyard’s property for more photos. While we walked we talked, becoming quick friends, learning their story, hearing their plans for a wedding, who they had to call first, and everything in between. They were so excited for this next part of their story! I was excited to capture love as their engagement photographer!

A lot of times folks aren’t sure if they really need a proposal photographer. In my opinion you definitely do! Having a photographer there means that you always get to remember the moment when the new chapter of your story started, you get to take in the moment before you move to calling everyone you know with the good news, you have photos that you will capture your genuine emotion and love for each other, and it really is such a good time.
