Northwest Arkansas Family Summer Photos
I know what you are thinking, “Family photos in the summer? In Arkansas? Are you sure you’re a local?” Yes, to all of those questions! I am a local Arkansan who is a family and wedding photographer. I also, LOVE taking our family photos in the summer. Yes, even in the heat!
Hear me out on this one. Imagine you are in your backyard, it’s after dinner, everyone is outside playing and giggling together, you can see how the sun has kissed your sweet kiddos faces, the freckles that only come out in the summer, and you want to bottle up this exact moment. That is what I am after! That moment. To capture that moment and have it hanging up on your walls
But yes, it is warm. I have an entire tip list that makes it not completely miserable and dare I say enjoyable! Trust me, it is worth it. There is something absolutely magical about those summer time photos! Check out these tips on how to make your summer family session less stressful and be so much fun!
Mom, pick your outfit first! Everyone else goes around you because it is always hardest to dress ourselves.
Pick outfits that feel like you. When you stay true to your own style your photos look like you!
Brings snacks that cannot get a stain on their clothes! Think of crackers, fruit snacks, gold fish, and leave the pouches at home.
When they get a stain on their outfit make sure you have an extra outfit in the car for them to change into!
Pick out a playlist that has your favorite family songs! It makes it so much more fun with music!
Remember, your kids will still be kids even if you are in color coordinating outfits. Your photographer, hopefully me, will not be surprised and will be patient with your family!
